JDK GEOTECH'S INVOLVEMENT

JDK Geotech’s (JDK) involvement in the M6 stage 1 was focused primarily on the construction phase services (CPS) of the Project, specifically the coordination of geological and geotechnical information pertaining to the tunnel mapping. A total of four staff were seconded to the project where our involvement was focused on the initial setup of the project leading to the daily capture of geotechnical/geological information verify the project design. JDK assisted with their project management and delivery of the geotechnical scope, JDK's consultants are currently working full-time in the following capacity of CPS.

  • Geotechnical assessment, confirmation of conditions, and recommendation for stabilization of temporary works
  • Compliance and verification of current and ongoing piling (Geotechnical) drilling for project design compliance
  • Geotechnical inspection and assessment of all rock cuts, excavations, and live trench workings.
  • Geological defect mapping and monitoring in accordance with the project specifications.

Value Added to the Project

JDK was engaged to undertake geotechnical site investigations under the management of Coffey/Tetra Tech. Our organization was able to apply the systematic capture of geotechnical and geological information to suit the current Australian Standard AS1726 and was able to work autonomously in conjunction with the effective management of site safety and documentation protocols.
