JDK Geotech (JDK) is seeking several motivated and enthusiastic individuals for application to our 2024 Graduate Program, offering the following roles: 

  • Graduate Civil Engineer   

  • Graduate Geotechnical Engineer   

  • Graduate Mining Engineer   

  • Graduate Geologist   

JDK is an engineering consultancy specialising in the delivery of technical services and project management advice for large-scale infrastructure, transportation and mining projects.  Our team is drawn to working alongside creative and innovative minds that stay ahead of the game in the work they do. 

The new graduates will form part of an established technical services team in Sydney NSW. The graduates will be trained and mentored by JDK's senior members and will assist our clients with project delivery and provide technical advice.

What is the JDK Graduate Program 

  • The successful candidate will be offered a 12-month role in JDK’s Graduate Program, where we focus on career development opportunities for the individual in the areas of Geotechnical, Mining and Civil Engineering. From here you will work hand in hand with the internal staff and our client's teams in NSW and QLD. This unique opportunity will combine site-based hands-on experience with supervisor and peer-based mentoring in the construction, infrastructure and mining sectors

The 2024 program will include:

  • Formalised external training, internal training and career mentorship

  • Attendance of events, conferences or CPD days

  • Hands-on site visits at different locations and projects

Your New Role after the Program   

  • You will be led and mentored by JDK’s senior staff members with varying technical expertise in civil, geotechnical, and mining engineering

  • You will become part of a larger technical team that manages key aspects of construction phase services (CPS), including project execution and management

  • You will be involved in ongoing professional development to mould your career based on your interests and strengths, both as an individual and on a professional level

  • Be involved and in charge of construction coordination, specifically method design and activities to meet design specifications and project schedules, through change management

  • Document and record project performance accurately and effectively

Your Background    

  • Relevant Tertiary Degree and/or qualification (Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or Geoscience)  

  • Previous site experience or exposure to engage in an engineering capacity or construction labour delivery environment (eg. residential building methods as an undergrad)

  • Experience or interest with design interpretation, report documentation review and a desire to engage in open communication with new colleagues, clients and sub-contractors

  • Similar or direct experience working on or researching transportation projects, including roads, rail and tunnels
