JDK (JDK Geotech Pty Ltd) is currently providing effective geotechnical and project management services for large scale tunnelling, mining, civil construction and environmental projects across Australia. The JDK geotechnical team is currently working on WestConnex 3A comprising of twin-mainline tunnels between the M4 East at Haberfield and the New M5 at St Peter's, passing under Haberfield, Leichhardt, Camperdown, Newtown and St Peters. Each tunnel would be around 7.5 km long and sized to accommodate up to four lanes of traffic in each direction.
The attached photo illustrates the safe remediation and installation of anchored support for underground rock excavations. The fieldwork was undertaken under the supervision of the LSBJV Geotechnical Department within the Sydney Tunnels Network.
