JDK Geotech (JDK) is actively seeking to build our Rock Engineering Team in NSW to address new upcoming projects in 2024.
JDK is an engineering consultancy specialising in delivering technical services and project management advice for large-scale infrastructure, transportation and mining projects. Our team is drawn to working alongside creative and innovative minds that stay ahead of the game in their work.
The candidate will form part of JDK’s established technical team to deliver specialised services to various infrastructure and tunnelling projects across NSW.

Key Responsibilities
Slope stability assessments, underground mapping and underground design review
Compile monthly reporting of; geological mapping, excavation of tunnels, shafts and caverns
Provide daily geological advice through rock mass classification (Pells, 1998), issue site mapping documentation, issue recommendations based on project design drawings, and forecast ground conditions
Act as a client liaison with the site and engineering departments
Partake in the Permit to Excavate/Tunnel and trenching process
Coordinate with engineers and supervisors on Design drawings, temporary works, scheduling and status of the project
Perform stability analysis of rock cuts, open slopes and underground developed areas for assessment of overall tunnel stability and production planning
Facilitate internal and external geotechnical by developing and improving internal auditing tools as required
About you
Accredited tertiary degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, Geoscience, or Engineering
Experience (preferred) in project geology, tunnelling or underground working environments
Experienced (preferred) in engineering, mining and 3D design-specific software (Flac, RocScience, AutoCAD)
