James is a results-driven project manager with thirteen years of professional experience throughout the United States, Canada and Australia. His career spans various disciplines of geotechnical engineering, project management, and the procurement, acquisition and delivery of high stake profile projects, mainly civil construction infrastructure.
James is noted for his effective project and construction management capability as well as professional expertise in the kinematic analysis of rock-cut slopes, tunnels, and mines (UG/OC) assessment of rock failure mechanisms, rockfall remediation methodology, the design of foundations and associated support systems for large infrastructure projects.
James’ extensive experience in specialist rock mechanics work in the hard rock, coal mining, civil construction and tunnelling industries proved invaluable to his clients whilst acting in senior project management and Sub-IC reviewer roles. His ability to deliver and manage large-scale infrastructure projects on time and within budget. James’ drive for process improvement and quality assurance in his client’s projects are key to his added value in challenging work environments.
James has proven his ability to manage multiple technical scopes on billion-dollar valued projects, maintain a strong client focus and contribute significant value to all project stakeholders. Effective delivery has earned James and the business JDK a trusted reputation in Australia and the US construction/mining industry. He continues to lead and grow his team (at times up to ten staff) of highly skilled technical consultants in advice and services to his clients in the construction, environmental and mining industries throughout the ACT, NSW and QLD.
